Owned and operated by Navy Master Training Specialist  Michael M. Dillard, iOn Global Contracting was created out of a passion for preventive maintenance and testing which began while serving in the US Navy. He became very proficient at performing various types of mechanical, electromechanical maintenance and testing, as well as quality assurance and training. After retiring from the US Navy, Michael entered the civilian workforce where he began working with an electrical contracting company in Hawaii. In 2015 while still in their employment, he suffered a mild concussion after experiencing a close-range arc blast in a commercial customer’s secondary switchgear.

After recovering, he committed himself to becoming a nationally-recognized expert on all things related to electrical safety in the workplace. It was during this time of recovery that the idea for what is now iOn Global Contracting was birthed. iOn Global Contracting was founded in 2018 as a Federal contracting company providing training (electrical safety, OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, CPR) and electrical maintenance and testing services to federal organizations. Michael is now based in Hawaii and is one of the most prominent providers of electrical safety training and is a NFPA Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional.
